Assessment results are reported as sub-scales plus an Overall score. The scales are Vocabulary, MathsPatterns (Yellis), Non-Verbal (MidYIS) and Skills (MidYIS). The Vocabulary and Maths scales come from the sections of the same name on the MidYIS and Yellis Assessments. The MidYIS Non-Verbal scale is a combination of the Cross-sections, Block Counting and Pictures sections. The MidYIS Skills scale comprises the Proof Reading and Perceptual Speed and Accuracy sections.

The Overall score is the best overall predictor of later academic achievements.  For Yellis (paper-based and computer-based) we find that this is an average of just the Vocabulary and Maths scores.  For computer-based MidYIS we also find that this is an average of just the Vocabulary and Maths scores, but for paper-based MidYIS we find that this is a weighted combination of the Vocabulary, Maths, Non-Verbal and Skills scores.
